Take My Hand

Please don’t cry,
Take my hand and hold it tight,
Everything will be alright,
For I’ll not leave you behind.

Don’t close your eyes,
In this blackest of night,
For darkness will give way to light,
Our destiny will be within sight.

Don’t ever lose heart,
No matter what happens,
My arms are there for you,
As you always knew.

Don’t listen to them,
For they know us not,
And no matter what they say,
Let not our hearts be swayed.

Don’t ever your hand let go,
Of this life we’ve set forth,
No sooner we’ll be home,
Where rest awaits us both.

Please be strong,
When things go wrong,
I may not be with you,
You must still hold on.
